Introduction and scope
In this policy, “KickeRock” descriptively identifies the website, and “the operator of KickeRock” identifies the person who operates it; neither expression presents a registered legal entity name. This document describes current practices, does not constitute legal advice, and does not itself guarantee compliance with every applicable law.
Data processed
KickeRock does not create direct visitor profiles or request contact details to access its content. However, technical and advertising providers may process the following data when someone visits the website:
- Cloudflare Web Analytics receives data for aggregated statistics, such as the page or path visited, referrer, event date and time, approximate location, browser, operating system, and device type. Cloudflare states that this analytics service is cookieless and does not profile individuals or associate metrics with personal data.
- Through AdSense, Google may receive the page URL, IP address, identifiers associated with cookies or other storage, browser and device information, general location, and interactions with ads.
- Cloudflare may also process technical request and connection data needed to host, deliver, and protect the website, subject to its own policies and applicable agreements.
Purposes of processing
The data described above may be processed for the following purposes:
- to host, deliver, maintain, and protect the website and its services;
- to obtain aggregated statistics about visited pages, general referral sources, and technical characteristics in order to understand and improve website usage;
- to serve ads, limit their frequency, prevent fraud and abuse, measure performance, and, depending on configuration, consent, and the visitor’s region, personalize advertising.
Legal basis
The applicable legal basis depends on the activity, provider configuration, region, and relevant law. It may include consent when required and obtained, legitimate interests in providing, protecting, and measuring the service where appropriate, and compliance with legal obligations. Google explains its own legal bases and practices in its policies.
This policy takes Ecuador’s Organic Law on Personal Data Protection (LOPDP) and other applicable rules as a reference, without claiming or guaranteeing absolute regulatory compliance.
Cookies, storage, and advertising
Public pages download the Google AdSense script. Google and third parties participating in advertising may use cookies or other storage technologies to serve ads, limit frequency, protect against fraud and abuse, measure results, and, depending on configuration, consent, and region, personalize advertising.
KickeRock does not currently provide a local consent management platform (CMP) or its own consent-withdrawal interface. You can manage ad personalization in Google Ads Settings and use your browser’s cookie or storage controls; those controls may affect how some services function.
Retention
KickeRock does not maintain direct visitor profiles or set its own retention period for data processed directly by Cloudflare or Google.
Cloudflare and Google retain data according to their respective policies, configurations, and obligations. Consult their official documents for current criteria.
Individual rights
Under the LOPDP and other applicable laws, you may request the following with respect to data controlled by the operator:
- access to your personal data;
- rectification and updating of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- deletion where provided by law;
- objection to certain processing where applicable;
- any other rights recognized by applicable law.
To exercise these rights, write to the address in the Contact section. Because KickeRock does not maintain direct visitor profiles, the operator may not hold data that can identify you; each request will be assessed based on the information and responsibilities actually under the operator’s control.
You may also file a complaint with Ecuador’s Superintendency for Personal Data Protection (SPDP) in accordance with its procedures. Superintendency for Personal Data Protection.
Security
The operator seeks to apply reasonable technical and organizational measures and also relies on provider safeguards. No Internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Children
KickeRock is a general-audience informational website. It does not offer accounts or forms directed to children, and the operator does not knowingly collect children’s personal data directly. If you believe a child provided data to the operator, use the contact address below so the situation can be assessed.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the website, its providers, or applicable law. The “Last updated” date identifies the current version published on this page.
